Frequently Asked Questions
What types of insulation do you carry?
We stock a comprehensive range: rock wool, fiberglass, elastomeric foam, ceramic fiber, XPS, EPS, PE Foam, cork, wood wool, acoustic panels, waterproofing materials, cement board, membrane, water stops, backing rod,and a full range of accessories including aluminium tapes, stick pins, flexible ducts, and duct connectors.
What is the difference between rock wool and fiberglass?
Both are mineral fiber insulation materials, but they differ in composition and performance. Rock wool (mineral wool) is made from volcanic rock — it has superior fire resistance, better soundproofing, and handles higher temperatures. Fiberglass is made from spun glass fibers — it is lighter, more flexible, and generally more economical. The right choice depends on your application, temperature range, and budget.
What densities of rock wool do you stock?
We stock rock wool panels and rolls ranging from 40 kg/m³ up to 150kg/m³, in various thicknesses (2.5cm to 8cm) and facings — Plain,FSK (foil scrim kraft), woven, wire-faced, and aluminium-faced. Contact us with your spec and we will confirm availability.
What is elastomeric foam used for?
Elastomeric foam (NBR/EPDM rubber foam) is primarily used for pipe and duct insulation in HVAC systems. It prevents condensation, provides thermal insulation, and is flexible enough to wrap around pipes and fittings. We carry it in thicknesses from 6mm to 25mm, in plain and aluminium-faced versions.
Do you carry ceramic fiber? What temperatures does it handle?
Yes. We stock ceramic fiber blanket rolls in 96 kg/m³ and 128 kg/m³ density, in standard and zirkonium grades. Ceramic fiber is used for high-temperature applications — furnaces, ovens, kilns, chimneys, and industrial equipment — typically rated up to 1260°C (standard grade) and higher for zirkonium. We also carry ceramic boards, tapes, mortar, bricks and bulk fiber.
Which insulation is best for a generator room?
For generator rooms, we recommend polyester fiber acoustic panels and rock wool panels over acoustic foam. Generator rooms involve heat, vibration, and the need for fire resistance — acoustic foam degrades in heat and is not fire-rated. Rock wool and polyester fiber handle these conditions far better while still providing strong sound absorption.
How do I place an order?
Contact us directly by phone or WhatsApp with your product, quantity, and spec. We confirm stock availability and pricing, and arrange a pickup time. You can also visit us at our warehouse on Airport Highway, Beirut.
