The fibers are rearranged to have good flexibility as well as high compression strength.
A blanket or felt is manufactured as both low & high density under ASTM C-665 and ASTM C-553 standard.
Rockwool blankets are covered with Aluminum foil or Kraft paper to act as a vapor barrier.

Mattress:
Rockwool reinforced with a stitched hexagonal galvanized wire mesh. The low binder content makes the mattress suitable for high temperature applications.
The mattress can be supplied with a stainless steel wire mesh for the application with corrosion environment.
This product is manufactured under ASTM C-553 standard.
